November Remembrance Service
Our annual Parish Remembrance Service will be held at St. Fiacre’s Church on this Thursday, 29th November at 7.30pm. During the service we will remember all of our departed relatives and friends. Special mention will be made of those from our parish who died during the past twelve months. We hope all bereaved will come and find consolation and strength in our prayer together. Refreshments will be served in the Parish Centre after Mass.
Advent Children’s Liturgy
On Sundays during Advent the 10.30am Mass at St. Fiacre’s Church is dedicated to a children’s liturgy helping to prepare the younger members of our congregation for Christmas. This usually ends with a big celebration on Christmas morning.
To help prepare the liturgy a practice will be held at St. Fiacre’s Church at 6.30pm on this Thursday. Children willing to participate in the liturgy are asked to attend with their parents/guardians.
Sadly, the organisers of this liturgy are few in number and more help is urgently required. We are looking for parents and grandparents to become involved in the practices and in helping out on Sunday mornings. Those interested in lending a hand are asked to contact the Parish Office (776 4400) for details.
Rosary in St. Fiacre’s
The Parish Pastoral Council has accepted a proposal to introduce the rosary before weekday Masses in St. Fiacre’s Church as an initiative for the Year of Faith. Beginning on Monday week, 3rd December, we are looking for volunteers to lead the prayer. Please contact the sacristan if you are willing to help.
Christmas Mass Cards
Cards offering the recipient a share in the Christmas Masses celebrated by the priests of our parish are available at reception in the Parish Centre. The cost is €3.00 per card. All other Mass cards available in the Parish Centre offer an individual Mass and the recommended stipend is €10.00.
