Pentecost Sunday
By virtue of our Baptism and Confirmation we too are temples of the Holy
Spirit. Yet, this Spirit is not a spirit of weakness or timidity as clearly
shown in the imagery and language used by Luke. The Spirit emboldened the
Apostles and drove them out of their hiding place to courageously and
intrepidly preach the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, a message that
would ultimately lead to new life, new hope and resurrection. In the same way, the Spirit by
virtue of its gifts and fruits should enliven our faith, deepen our
convictions and strengthen our resolve.
Sung Latin Mass for Pentecost
A Sung Latin Mass (1962 Missal and Gregorian Chant) will be celebrated in
St. Patrick's Church on this Sunday, 19th May (Pentecost Sunday) at
5.00pm. All are welcome.
