Well done to all the children from both schools, their family members, teachers and those involved with their preparation.
Do You Invite Jesus Into Your Home?
In today’s gospel story Jesus joins the two disciples as they journey from Jerusalem to Emmaus. The disciples are not in good spirits because they have heard about Jesus’ Resurrection and it is too unbelievable.
As they walk, Jesus teaches them all about Himself and why He endured all that He did. As they reach their destination, they invite Jesus into their home. As they sit for dinner, Jesus takes the bread, changes it into His body, and breaks it. It is at the breaking of the bread that the disciples recognise him. Jesus disappears.
Do you invite Jesus into your home? Do you make time for him in prayer? Do you share prayer with the family? Perhaps this is one of the best lessons of today’s scripture.
