Sixth Sunday in Ordinary Time, 16th February 2014

‘The Joy of the Gospel’
Would you like to join a group to read and discuss the above short book by Pope Francis?  Meeting at St. Patrick's Parish Centre starting this Monday, 17th February at 11.00am.  All are welcome.
This book by Pope Francis is now available at The Chapter House Book Shop in the Cathedral grounds.  It costs €4.99 and is well worth reading and reflecting upon.
“I invite all Christians everywhere at this very moment to a renewed personal encounter with Jesus Christ. I ask all of you to do this unfailingly each day . . . no one is excluded from the joy brought by the Lord. Whenever we take a step towards Jesus, He is already there waiting for us with open arms. Let us never give up, come what will.  May nothing inspire us more than His Life, which impels us onwards”.

Anniversary Notices
Please try to get all anniversary notices into the office by Thursday before publication.  We ask that you write the details on a page (not a tiny scrap of paper which can easily be misplaced), telephone the details to 056 776 4400 or send an email to stpatricksparish@ossory.ie. We endeavour to include all notices accurately but we cannot accept responsibility for misspellings and late submissions.

Mass Bookings
For the main part we are happy to book particular Masses for special intentions like anniversaries etc.  However, we take the booking on the understanding that funeral Masses take precedence.  If an anniversary Mass is booked for a time required for a funeral the earlier intention will be mentioned and the Mass offered at the earliest time agreeable to the relatives and priest.
