Trinity Sunday, 31st May 2015

Most Holy Trinity
Today we celebrate the central mystery of our Faith. The mystery of the Trinity, that our God shows himself in three different ways as Father, Son and Spirit.  This sense of wonder that enables us to recognise our God, is the same sense of wonder that enables the poet to see daffodils dancing, or to recognise God in a rose.  We are made in the image of God and loved unconditionally.  At our Baptism, the sign of the Cross was traced on our foreheads - we were marked with the Trinity.  As we grew into adulthood, Jesus became our friend and companion.  He became real in our world.  His powerful Spirit continues to help, inspire and guide us, as we try to do our best and make a difference in family and community.

Holiday Arrangements
We welcome all who return home or visit Kilkenny this festival weekend.  As Monday is a public holiday the only public Mass in our parish will be at St. Patrick’s Church at 11.00am.  All welcome to come along and celebrate with us.

Refurbishment at St. Patrick’s Church
Progress continues on the reroofing of St. Patrick’s Church. Due to dust dislodging from the ceiling we ask you to note the following :
· There will be no rosary before daily Mass until the re-roofing is completed.
· Masses will be celebrated as normal.
· The church will close after Mass each day to help avoid dust contamination.
Many thanks to all for your cooperation while this much needed work continues.

Prayer at Exam Time
Lord, as I prepare to sit my exams
send your Holy Spirit to guide me and be with me.
Thank you for the many talents and gifts you have
given me and for the opportunity of education.
Keep me calm.
Help me to do the best I can on the day of my exam.
Help me to remember all that I have studied,
to express it clearly and to answer the questions
as best that I can.
Give me peace, understanding and wisdom
and be with me today and always.  Amen.
Bishop Denis Nulty
The priests and Parish Pastoral Committee wish all students well in their examinations and we promise to pray with and for them during the weeks ahead.
